H. J. DAVIES, New York, C.1875, walnut parlor clock, the ORIENTAL, with label on back, 8-day time and strike, with double barrel pendulum {w/ Davies Patent imprint}.
CONDITION:
the case has been stripped but never properly finished. Mov't is complete and sound. History buffs will recall that Ansonia bought the entire stock of Henry Davies and established him as General Manager of the "new" Ansonia Clock Co. in Dec of 1877. Note label is dark but legible. Ht 22"
